UN Women seeks National Consultants/Trainers to develop and deliver training modules on gender equality and women's empowerment topics across Georgia.


Key Responsibilities
  • Learn/take up existing UN Women training modules on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment issues.
  • Design new or adapt existing training modules/sessions for different target groups/purposes in consultation with UN Women staff.
  • Conduct a series of trainings on gender equality and women’s empowerment for various stakeholder groups (in Tbilisi, other urban and rural locations, and online).
  • Conduct awareness raising activities on gender equality on various thematic areas.
  • Conduct ToTs for different stakeholders on gender equality.
  • Develop a detailed work plan for the assignment(s).
  • Produce a training needs assessment questionnaire and conduct needs assessment.
  • Develop a detailed agenda and modules, presentations, and relevant training materials.
  • Design and carry out pre- and post-training assessment questionnaires.
  • Develop and conduct analysis of pre- and post-training assessments.
  • Draft and submit the final training report.
  • Review and synthesize existing policies, legal frameworks, and programmatic approaches.
  • Conduct policy analysis and produce knowledge products on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Required Experience

At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the field of gender equality and women’s rights. At least five (5) years of experience of delivering trainings on gender issues to government officials, civil society, private sector companies or grassroots’ communities. At least five (5) years of proven experience in developing training manuals, modules and programmes. Sound understanding of interactive learning methods and adult-learning techniques.

Qualifications

University degree (Master’s) in gender/women’s studies, human rights, sociology, law, international development or related field. Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, human rights in combination with additional two years of relevant working experience might be considered in lieu of the master’s degree.
