Overview

Provide technical support to projects under the HEART Cluster on project development, implementation, technical assistance, and report development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs and strategic recommendations for programme/project proposals.
  • Provide policy advice and technical support to programme/project design and implementation.
  • Support formulation exercises by facilitating stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in conducting analyses of the programme/project portfolio.
  • Identify areas for support and intervention within assigned outcome areas.
  • Support the implementation of capacity development strategies.
  • Ensure gender-related, health, public research and analysis.
  • Provide support to effective management of programmes and projects.
  • Ensure effective application of result based management tools and project/programme monitoring and evaluation procedures.
  • Provide support in the development of project annual workplans.
  • Support PMU HEART in monitoring Health Governance programme and projects.
  • Support PMU HEART in overseeing all stages of project management.
  • Support on follow up on audit recommendations and assist in the preparation of project reports for donors.
  • Support implementation of gender equality accountability framework and Gender equality Results Based management.
  • Assist in maintaining strategic partnerships with key development partners.
  • Provision of support in strengthening cooperation with key stakeholders.
  • Support the communication of the Health Governance programme/projects.
  • Facilitate information sharing and dialogue within the donor community.
  • Support knowledge generation and knowledge sharing based on programme/project experiences.
  • Compile key sources of information and best practices for projects.
  • Maintain knowledge and advocacy networks.
  • Prepare briefs, talking points, and other documents.
  • Support arrangement of training programme for project staff.
  • Conducts internal capacity building training for project staff.
Required Experience

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in health programme.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master´s degree or equivalent) in Public Health, Health Science or relevant related fields is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
