Overview
The role involves conducting interviews with key informants and ensuring compliance with IOM guidelines during data collection for the Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) in Kyrgyzstan.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Key Informants Interview (KIIs) with community leaders, religious leaders, diaspora representatives, hospital and school directors, and returned migrant groups.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and conduct direct observation.
- Conduct follow-up interviews as necessary.
- Take photos with written consents.
- Develop and submit 1 narrative report at the end of data collection.
- Ensure compliance with IOM guidelines and code of conduct during data collection.
- Participate in enumerators training.
- Respect the privacy and rights of individuals being surveyed, ensuring informed consent.
- Develop and submit fieldwork plans.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and IOM.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and resources are prepared.
- Establish good relationships with community focal points.
- Validate information by cross-checking with multiple sources.
- Keep detailed records of daily activities and completed interviews.
- Assist in documenting challenges or issues encountered in the field.
- Submit completed survey forms into KOBO and ensure data is correctly uploaded or delivered.
Required Experience
- 1 month of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in conducting community and household assessments and survey.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between migration and development.
- Experience in working with international organizations and UN (United Nations) agencies, an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sociology, Economics or a related field.
