Overview
Provide expert analysis on the rights of persons with disabilities, focusing on legal provisions related to legal capacity and alignment with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a desk review of relevant national legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Analyze the compatibility of national legislation with Article 12 of the CRPD.
- Review the implications of Uzbekistan’s reservation to Article 12 of the CRPD.
- Identify gaps and barriers in the current legal and institutional framework.
- Consult with key organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), civil society organizations, and other relevant actors.
- Provide a mapping and gap analysis report, including recommendations for legal reform and inclusion of persons with disabilities in policy discussions.
Required Experience
7 years of relevant professional experience in human rights and legal analysis related to the rights of persons with disabilities. Demonstrated expertise in international human rights standards and the CRPD.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in law (LLM or equivalent) or in the social sciences.
