Overview

Internship supporting business development efforts within the Information and Technology Management Unit, focusing on Smart Facilities projects and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate marketing support and promotional efforts for Smart Facilities projects.
  • Facilitate and support ongoing projects with project documents, market research, and dashboard management.
  • Lead and support internal communication coordination and workshop organization.
  • Translate technical knowledge into easy-to-understand material.
  • Support analysis of operational data, identification of trends, and process automation coordination.
  • Prepare and give presentations on Smart Facilities, Green Energy, IoT, Connectivity, and Security products and services.
  • Develop Smart Facilities services, catalogs, knowledge management articles, and strategies.
  • Identify potential projects on UN procurement websites and compile application documentation.
  • Improve templates, working documents, tools, websites, and design files.
  • Support the development of a narrative on implemented Smart Facilities projects and design community engagement strategies.
  • Develop and maintain external relationships for innovation and business expansion.
  • Provide overall coordination and executive support to the Chief of Smart Infrastructure.
Required Experience
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, Project management/coordination, Customer Service or Buying would be appreciated.
  • Experience with circular economy, sustainability, engineering, smart cities is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated professional or academic experience, especially on market research of technical solutions in UNDP Member States is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.

Remuneration
• Monthly stipend, with the rate that varies depending on the duty location. • Where an intern is engaged in-person and is not financially supported by any institution or programme, a monthly “in-person” stipend rate is USD 1,000. • A remote reduced stipend is paid by the receiving office.
