Overview
The incumbent will provide multi-skilled functions to assist the work across the BMS Workshops, focusing on office relocations and small house repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and removing walls, entrance and connecting doors.
- Fixing carpet strips, installing wooden panel walls, boards, picture rails, sign boards, in office areas.
- Transporting and setting up furniture according the prevailing office standards.
- Supporting exhibitions by transporting heavy equipment, packing/unpacking, installing/dismantling exhibition materials.
- Transporting safely heavy and bulky equipment using forklift vehicle where required.
- Performing minor repair of office furniture requiring basic carpentry and locksmith skills.
- Assist in inspecting VIC facilities, support basic repairs and reporting damages.
- Following all rules and regulations and handling machines, equipment and material in a competent, proper and safe manner and wearing protective clothing.
- Ensuring the safe storage of walls, entrance and connecting doors, rails, furniture, equipment, spare parts, tools, materials, consumables, chemicals, etc.
- Appropriately recording all the relevant information related to the work assigned in the Facility Management Electronic Work Order Platform.
Required Experience
- Completed secondary education: at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- First/second-level university degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s): at least 1 years of relevant experience.
- A completed technical education (HTL or equivalent) with certified proficiency in one of the relevant vocational fields may be accepted in lieu of up to two years of professional experience.
Qualifications
- Completed secondary education required.
- Technical institution/HTL or equivalent is desirable.
- Certification/apprenticeship in small repairs, buildings maintenance, masonry, construction or metal work.
