Overview
Provide technical expertise in the application of Radiological and Environmental Impact Assessment for the Assessment and Management of Releases Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop modules for a training package on environmental radiation monitoring and radiological environmental impact assessment (REIA).
- Provide technical expertise on designing and piloting the "School of Radiation Protection for the Public and the Environment".
- Contribute to the internal technical review process for the draft revision of Safety Report Series No. 19 (SRS 19).
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in public and environmental radiation protection, with at least 3 years focused on the assessment of the impact of environmental releases.
- Working knowledge of international guidance on radiological protection of humans and the environment.
- Knowledge of radiological environmental impact assessment (REIA) principles, methodologies, and models.
- Knowledge on environmental radiation monitoring for public protection.
- Experience in technical review and critical evaluation of safety reports or draft documents.
- Good IT skills (Excel etc.).
Qualifications
- University degree in an environmental-related field (chemistry, environmental sciences, engineering, physics etc).
- Master's degree is an asset.
