Overview
The role focuses on enabling strategic growth of private philanthropy among High Net Worth Individuals and foundations in the Asia Region, supporting cultivation and solicitation of high-value donors, and crafting capacity building opportunities for country offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and support the development of high value and realistic prospect lists of HWNI potential donors.
- Develop and support country office cultivation plans and pipelines for prospects of major donors.
- Provide strategic guidance and support engagement of key private foundations in Asia country offices.
- Undertake development of bespoke high value foundation partnership proposals.
- Facilitate grant agreement process.
- Support relationship management activities and high level donor stewardship for Asia regional philanthropic partners.
- Provide strategic analysis and support to RSC team in market development and planning for philanthropy within APRO.
- Develop and adapt materials and resources for capacity building with UNICEF philanthropic fundraisers in Asia country offices.
- Design and lead capacity building sessions for country offices to enhance philanthropic fundraising skills.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years' experience in philanthropic/high-value fundraising. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in direct donor relationship cultivation and management of philanthropic partnerships. Previous donor management experience is essential.
Qualifications
An Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Development, Journalism, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Management, Social Science or another relevant technical field. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
