Overview

The Project Engineer will manage and implement engineering and construction-related activities, including technical design, procurement support, construction supervision, and quality control.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assess site conditions and prepare conceptual analyses and complete technical documentation.
  • Develop engineering designs in accordance with industry standards, local regulations, and good engineering practice.
  • Prepare procurement plans and contribute to solicitation documents.
  • Support bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Monitor construction progress through regular site inspections.
  • Identify risks, delays, or variations and provide technical input for contract amendments.
  • Ensure adherence to country-specific building codes, permits, and IOM construction and procurement procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
  • Five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven professional experience in project design.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction supervision.
  • Experience in the preparation of tender documentation.
  • Ability to participate in and support the tendering and procurement process.
  • Five years of active driving experience.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited academic institution.
  • Successful completion of the Professional Engineering Exam.

Languages Required
• Fluency in English (oral and written). • Fluency in one of the official languages in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) (oral and written).
