Overview
The Project Engineer will manage and implement engineering and construction-related activities, including technical design, procurement support, construction supervision, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess site conditions and prepare conceptual analyses and complete technical documentation.
- Develop engineering designs in accordance with industry standards, local regulations, and good engineering practice.
- Prepare procurement plans and contribute to solicitation documents.
- Support bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Monitor construction progress through regular site inspections.
- Identify risks, delays, or variations and provide technical input for contract amendments.
- Ensure adherence to country-specific building codes, permits, and IOM construction and procurement procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven professional experience in project design.
- Demonstrated experience in construction supervision.
- Experience in the preparation of tender documentation.
- Ability to participate in and support the tendering and procurement process.
- Five years of active driving experience.
Qualifications
- University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited academic institution.
- Successful completion of the Professional Engineering Exam.
