Overview

Provides technical leadership, coordination, and management oversight across integrated risk analysis and preparedness functions to enhance UNICEF's ability to meet humanitarian action commitments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading global risk monitoring, early warning, and preparedness systems
  • Strengthening linkages between risk analysis, preparedness planning and anticipatory action
  • Supporting country and regional offices through technical assistance, surge support, and capacity building
  • Driving innovation for early warning and preparedness systems
  • Contributing to policy development, evidence generation, and institutional strengthening
Required Experience

Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in humanitarian action, risk analysis, and/or emergency preparedness. Proven experience in risk analysis and preparedness planning. Experience in team leadership and management is required. Experience supporting country-level operations and inter-agency coordination, experience in data systems, innovation, or predictive analytics tools is a strong asset, experience in anticipatory action is an asset. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Other, international relations, humanitarian affairs, disaster risk management, public policy, social sciences and any other related fields.
