Overview
The Financial Analyst will contribute to technical advisory, produce knowledge and research content, and support the design and implementation of quantitative models for official sector asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical advisory through missions, ad-hoc consultations, workshops, conferences, and webinars on asset management, responsible investing, and risk management.
- Produce knowledge and research content relevant to Trust Funds, RAMP members and other clients, including applied research papers/notes.
- Contribute to advancing knowledge and expertise in strategic asset allocation, responsible investing, and risk management.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of quantitative models and provide quantitative research.
- Contribute to developing new investment products.
- Contribute to collaboration and cooperation across departments and with clients, development partners, research centers, and industry experts.
- Contribute to relationships with clients and interact with World Bank Finance Partners and other business units.
- Contribute to the expansion of outreach activities by helping enhance the RAMP program's communication, marketing, and branding.
- Contribute to additional projects as needed within the department.
Required Experience
Two years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in economics and finance. Some experience with a public or private asset owner or a capital markets department (asset managers, banks, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, pensions, endowments, etc.), or with an international organization, is an asset.
Qualifications
Masters' degree, or a higher qualification, in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent. A professional certification, e.g., CFA, would be a plus.
