Overview
The role involves facilitating community activities and providing counseling, focusing on healthy eating, hygiene, and family responsibility in nutrition and health. The purpose is to support the World Food Programme's efforts in Guatemala to achieve Zero Hunger and improve nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in induction and training on activity objectives, key messages, and methodology.
- Register participants according to WFP guidelines.
- Support the setup, organization, and participant flow during activities.
- Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment.
- Facilitate community fair stations or challenges, explaining activities clearly.
- Transmit key messages on healthy eating habits, hygiene practices, and family responsibility.
- Address basic family queries or refer to technical staff.
- Participate in feedback sessions with the organizing team.
- Prepare a report including activities, participant numbers, and results.
Required Experience
- 1 month of work experience in community or rural contexts.
- Desirable: Experience in nutrition training, preferably as a community nutrition counselor, within WFP or similar organizations.
