Overview
Provide dedicated technical, logistical, coordination, monitoring, and reporting support to the Public School System (PSS)–UNICEF partnership for education and early childhood development (ECD) programming in the Republic of Marshall Islands.
Key Responsibilities
- Support PSS leadership and relevant focal officers to ensure coherent implementation of agreed activities.
- Ensure timely follow-up on deliverables.
- Facilitate effective coordination with UNICEF, Office of the Chief Secretary (OCS), and other partners.
- Systematically track progress, challenges, risks, and results.
- Support implementation planning, identify and address bottlenecks, and build synergies across related initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure programme activities are aligned with broader government priorities and PSS planning processes.
- Provide technical monitoring and reporting support to the UNICEF North Pacific Office for education and ECD-related activities.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in programme planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and/or management is required.
- Experience supporting education, early childhood development, social sector programming, or related development programmes is required.
- Experience working with government institutions, development partners and/or multi-stakeholder coordination mechanisms is required.
- Experience supporting policy dialogue, sector planning, programme monitoring, reporting, or implementation of donor funded programmes is preferred.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in International Development, Education, Social Studies, Economics or any other related field.
