Overview

Consultant to strengthen implementation of multisectoral actions for nutrition and support institutionalizing national governance for nutrition in Tarawa, Kiribati.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Provide data-driven technical assistance through close coordination with government counterparts and development partners.
  • - Capacity-building and knowledge transfer.
  • - Support the advancement of recommendations set by the Parliamentary Nutrition Select Committee.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in public nutrition work.
  • Extensive work experience in developing country contexts, with strong preference for experience in the Pacific and Oceania region, including engagement with multisectoral nutrition coordination mechanisms or technical working groups; direct experience working in Pacific Island Countries is a significant asset.
  • Experience working in UNICEF or a UN system agency is an asset.
Qualifications

An advanced University degree (higher degree will be an added advantage) in Public Nutrition or related field, international development, health, education, sociology, economics, and other related disciplines.
