Overview
Design visually appealing country profiles, learning tools, and communication materials to explain complex research findings in accessible and engaging formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality country profile layouts, infographics, and data visualizations.
- Create PowerPoint presentations, Canva publications, Dashboards and other materials.
- Develop visually consistent and branded templates.
- Support the creation of simple, short videos or animated visuals.
- Assist with packaging lessons learned, best practices, and case studies.
- Contribute to maintaining shared visual content libraries and aligning outputs with UNHCR branding and accessibility standards.
Required Experience
- Strong proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, and visual communication tools.
- Experience designing reports, briefs, slide decks, infographics, and other communication products.
- Basic video editing or animation skills and experience developing dashboards are a strong asset.
- Familiarity with visual storytelling techniques and a strong eye for design and layout.
- Ability to work collaboratively with non-designers.
- Experience working remotely and managing multiple design tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with branding and accessibility standards, humanitarian or development issues, creating visual content for training, learning, or advocacy, or design work for or in collaboration with UN agencies, NGOs, or international development partners is an advantage.
