Overview
To provide sign language interpretation services from/to KYR-RUS for people with any degree of hearing loss at different events supported by the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level consecutive and simultaneous sign language interpretation services at meetings, seminars, negotiations, and other events.
- Advise staff on accessibility needs, including seating arrangements, interpreter placement, and screen visibility.
- Preparation of interim and final reports in OSCE reporting template.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in Kyrgyz, Russian sign-language translation;
- Experience of sign interpretation in the field of democratization and human rights is be an asset;
- Experience working with international organizations is an asset;
- Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications.
Qualifications
• University degree supplemented by specific studies in sign languages with specialization in interpretation techniques;
