Overview
Ensure the timely receipt, correct stacking, and accurate dispatch of partners’ cargo, maintaining zero discrepancies in handling and documentation. - Support the implementation of appropriate measures to safeguard partners’ commodities, ensuring quality control through preventive measures aligned with established procedures and subject to supervisory authorization.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete records of all partners’ cargo, safeguarding data integrity and enabling easy retrieval for reporting and audit purposes.
- Conduct regular warehouse stock inspections to verify the condition, quantity, and compliance with approved storage requirements.
- Assist the Logistics Assistant and colleagues in conducting periodic physical inventories of partners’ cargo, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures.
- Maintain the warehouse in accordance with high warehousing standards, including cleanliness, safety, and security protocols.
- Provide high-quality customer service to Logistics Cluster partners by responding promptly to requests and ensuring smooth and efficient cargo handling.
- Maintain effective working relationships with WFP colleagues, private porters, and other stakeholders to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Supervise warehouse assistants, storekeepers, checkers, guards, and porters, providing guidance and oversight during loading and offloading operations to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Ensure all warehouse documentation (receipts, dispatch notes, stock cards) is complete, accurate, and up to date by applying sound logistics knowledge and best practices.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall effectiveness of Logistics Cluster operations.
Required Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education.
