Overview
This position will support warehousing operations and contribute to the provision of storage services for partners through the logistics cluster warehouse in Port Sudan.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely receipt, proper stacking, and accurate dispatch of partners' cargo.
- Support implementation of appropriate measures to safeguard partner commodities.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of all partners' cargo.
- Perform regular inspections of warehouse stock.
- Assist in conducting periodic physical inventories of partners' cargo.
- Maintain the warehouse in accordance with high warehousing standards.
- Deliver high quality customer service to Logistics Cluster partners.
- Maintain effective working relationships with WFP colleagues, private porters, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise warehouse assistant storekeeper, checkers, guards, and porters.
- Ensure all warehouse documentation is complete and accurate.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
At least four years of experience in related fields.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
