Overview

This position will support warehousing operations and contribute to the provision of storage services for partners through the logistics cluster warehouse in Port Sudan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely receipt, proper stacking, and accurate dispatch of partners' cargo.
  • Support implementation of appropriate measures to safeguard partner commodities.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of all partners' cargo.
  • Perform regular inspections of warehouse stock.
  • Assist in conducting periodic physical inventories of partners' cargo.
  • Maintain the warehouse in accordance with high warehousing standards.
  • Deliver high quality customer service to Logistics Cluster partners.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with WFP colleagues, private porters, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise warehouse assistant storekeeper, checkers, guards, and porters.
  • Ensure all warehouse documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least four years of experience in related fields.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
