Overview
The Programme Associate (VAM and M&E) will provide specialized technical and analytical support to ensure data-driven decision-making, accountability, and performance monitoring in line with WFP corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical support to programme activities, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and the Country Strategic Plan.
- Prepare, consolidate, and quality-check programme and VAM reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of programme, monitoring, and assessment data.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and quality assurance of VAM activities, including needs assessments and surveys.
- Monitor data collection processes and perform data quality checks.
- Manage, clean, analyse, and interpret quantitative datasets.
- Maintain, update, and document VAM and M&E databases.
- Develop data visualisations, dashboards, maps, and analytical products.
- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Track indicators, analyse trends, and flag risks or implementation challenges.
- Contribute technical inputs to donor reports, situation reports, and VAM bulletins.
- Liaise with internal units, field teams, cooperating partners, and government counterparts.
- Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to field monitors and enumerators.
- Support knowledge management, documentation of lessons learned, and dissemination of best practices.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities, including rapid assessments and data analysis during crises.
Required Experience
At least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in programme support, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or related functions. Experience in VAM, food security analysis, humanitarian programmes, or development programming is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Geography, Information Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, GIS, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree in the same field is an advantage.
