Overview
Support the Hubs Coordinator and Incident Manager in managing crisis response interventions and coordinating health cluster activities at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Hubs Coordinator and Incident Manager in managing effective implementation of crisis response interventions with local health authorities and partners.
- Assist in implementing WHO's role in leading the Health Cluster and Regional coordination mechanisms.
- Support coordination of procurement and distribution of medical supplies and logistics.
- Organize meetings with Governor services, Oblast health department, Municipal health departments, and head doctors of hospitals.
- Support coordination meetings with partners and discussions on improving operations.
- Identify and engage local partners and stakeholders into assessment and response.
- Prepare updated information for Health Cluster partners on health services availability and quality.
- Support the drafting of WHO's and health cluster workplans, including time frames and activity cost estimates.
- Support Pillar leads in clinical assessments, data collection, and identifying emergency health trends.
- Act as the Security Focal Point for WHO in case of absence of security officers.
- Act as the responsible officer for administrative matters in the hub including facility, fleet and cash.
Required Experience
At least two years' experience in emergency work in the health sector, at national or international level, in WHO, the UN System, a governmental or non-governmental organization. Experience in monitoring field projects at sub-national level. Managerial experience is an asset.
Qualifications
University degree (Bachelor's level/or equivalent) in Medicine, Public Health, project management, Business Administration, supply chain management or another field of studies relevant to the position. University degree (Master's level) in any of the above areas is desirable.
