Overview

The Staff Officer (Infrastructure Data Management) will support the Joint Military Engineering Division Infrastructure Branch with infrastructure data collection, analysis, management, and assessment. The role involves developing processes and IT solutions for efficient, automated transfer of infrastructure data.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Develop and implement infrastructure data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
  • - Analyse and consolidate infrastructure data across multiple sources and domains.
  • - Develop information sharing linkages and processes between systems and databases.
  • - Contribute to infrastructure network analysis and assessment processes.
  • - Identify data management inefficiencies and propose solutions.
  • - Collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure data sharing, quality control, and metadata.
  • - Contribute to and enhance LOGFAS database.
  • - Manage identified critical infrastructure and associated risk management activities.
  • - Liaise with Geo teams regarding GIS data provision and tools.
  • - Conduct data experiments and testing of new tools.
  • - Assist in infrastructure-related working groups.
  • - Lead, support, and contribute to the creation of JENG documentation.
  • - Participate in training, evaluation, validation & certification exercises.
  • - Organize, create, and maintain relevant web-page content for Infrastructure Branch.
Required Experience
  • - Proven experience in Data Management.
  • - Proven experience in Data Modelling and Design.
  • - 3+ years’ experience with data management/data engineering (desirable).
  • - Experience in working with large datasets (desirable).
  • - Technical expertise with data modelling and segmentation techniques (desirable).
  • - Familiar with programming scripting and mark-up languages (desirable).
  • - Familiar with the principles of GIS (desirable).
  • - Thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as collection, analysis and distribution (desirable).
Qualifications
  • - University Degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, OR Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
  • - Any further training certificates and courses related to subject field or acquired through NATO (e.g.: Orientation Course, Host Nation Support Course) (desirable).
