Overview

Support conference preparation and coordination, and assist in resource mobilization efforts for the 1st International Conference.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support conference preparation and coordination, including assisting with planning meetings, timelines, and follow‑up actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation, such as briefing notes, background materials, participant lists, presentations, and information packages.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement, including helping maintain contact lists, drafting outreach messages, and supporting communication.
  • Support logistical arrangements for virtual and in‑person meetings.
  • Support the development of a range of banners and newsletters.
  • Assist in the development of materials to support resource mobilization efforts.
  • Assist the team with its private sector engagement.
  • Perform other work-related duties as required.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Familiarity with UN processes, procedures, or conference management is considered an asset. Good knowledge of development of resource mobilization materials is also an asset.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. Programme. Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Teams. Applicants should have excellent organizational, research, analytical skills, drafting and report writing experience.

Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
