Overview
The Specialized Officer - Integrated Border Management Task Force (IBMTF) will support member countries in enhancing border security and integrating their efforts with international partners. The role involves research on policing issues and crime trends impacting law enforcement and international police cooperation.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch and monitor planning and organization of activities based on National Central Bureaus' needs.
- Prepare briefing documents and summary reports on ongoing activities, including deliverables, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit written communications and briefings, review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and make oral presentations.
- Organize or participate in meetings and conferences, including preparing agendas, circular letters, and invitations.
- Conduct research supporting meetings and events related to border management.
- Ensure outreach and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess training and capacity-building needs of member countries.
- Develop specialized training courses for member countries.
- Analyze pertinent information and disseminate it appropriately, identifying trends and strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with experts in member countries and external organizations.
- Perform any other duties as required by the hierarchy.
Required Experience
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience in law enforcement related to the fight against criminal activities, related research and activities related to transnational crimes.
- Proven experience in international police co-operation.
- Proven experience in the development and delivery of strategy and / or policy reports as well as operational procedure.
- Proven experience in organizing major events, or training activities.
Qualifications
• Minimum of three to four years’ completed university degree required in a relevant domain.
