Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst contributes to the effective implementation of corporate evaluation policy and ensures monitoring and evaluation requirements for the CPD, joint programmes, and projects are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports effective monitoring of CPD implementation.
- Analyzes and identifies coherence and integration between the UNDP programme and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
- Assists in planning and monitoring the Integrated Work Plan (IWP) of the Country Office.
- Coordinates the monitoring of indicators and supervision of Corporate Dashboards.
- Performs monitoring and supports the implementation of Results-Based Management tools.
- Provides guidance during programme/project design to ensure quality results with indicators, baselines, and targets.
- Prepares analyses of requirements and syntheses of proposals for planning, preparation, and management of evaluations.
- Promotes a culture of evaluation focused on standards, quality assurance/control, and capacity development.
- Drafts/Reviews Terms of Reference (TOR) for specific project/thematic/sectoral evaluation missions.
- Provides guidance on UNDP evaluation policies, procedures, and practices.
- Prepares analyses and syntheses of evaluations, recommendations, and monitors their effective implementation.
- Identifies and formulates lessons learned from evaluations and studies.
- Contributes to the implementation of the Knowledge Management and Learning Strategy.
- Participates in results-oriented training efforts in monitoring and evaluation.
Required Experience
- Applicants with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in:
- International development
- Monitoring and evaluation, with training in socioeconomic data analysis and political affairs.
Qualifications
- Advanced university studies (Master's or equivalent level) in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field is required.
- University degree (Bachelor's level) in the indicated areas, in combination with 2 additional years of relevant experience, will be favorably considered in lieu of a Master's.
