Overview

Internship opportunity to support private sector engagement and development work, including partnership building, research, and communication activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support to build and strengthen partnerships and facilitate knowledge exchanges among the ROK, UNDP, and developing countries, together with private sector actors.
  • Conduct research on issues related to private sector engagement and development.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of USPC’s SDG Partnership country-support programme.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of the Centre’s Impact Startup Accelerator in Korea.
  • Support the organization of UNDP meetings and events.
  • Support production of USPC’s web and social media content.
  • Support production of digital/multimedia materials.
  • Support production of various advocacy materials.
  • Drafting, copyediting and translating (from English to Korean and vice versa) various web and social media content, knowledge products, advocacy and reporting materials.
  • Taking records of events, meetings, activities, and visits to USPC office.
  • Supporting onsite promotion in outreach activities.
  • Supporting incoming missions from UNDP HQs, Country Offices and partners to the ROK.
  • Maintaining relevant files and databases.
  • Performing liaison support and administrative tasks.
  • Supporting other/ad hoc activities.
Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program. Field of study: international development, international relations, sociology, political science, public administration, economics, commerce, business administration, marketing, or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools. Familiarity with social media and creative design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is an asset.

Fluency in other UN languages is considered an asset

Remuneration
monthly stipend in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP internship policy (as reference, the stipend for 2026 is set at KRW 1,169,728 per month)
