Overview

The consultant will provide mentoring on Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) programs and offer recommendations to strengthen them at the healthcare facility level in Ukraine.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mentoring sessions in one Oblast level hospital and one University hospital.
  • Review five complex cases of antimicrobial prescription.
  • Prepare one report reviewing the work of the AMS team, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct a rapid survey on rational antimicrobial use.
  • Provide 10 recommendations to strengthen AMS-programs at the facility level.
  • Submit a final report on the mentoring provided for AMS-programme strengthening in the 2 health care facilities in Ukraine.
Required Experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience working in Intensive care or Infectious diseases.
  • Experience in participation in AMS programs at facility level.
  • Desirable: Proven research and teaching and mentoring experience in Ukraine.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Advanced university degree in Medicine; Specialization in Intensive care, surgery, or infectious diseases.
  • Desirable: PhD in infectious diseases.
