Overview

The Intern – Human Resources will assist and provide support in the administrative processes to the Regional Human Resources Unit.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical assistance for the smooth running of Human Resources processes and activities.
  • Maintain orderly and up-to-date personnel files and related documentation.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of the onboarding platform.
  • Provide general assistance in recruitment processes.
  • Support the organization of meetings, training activities and other Human Resources events.
Required Experience
  • Less than two years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in maintaining and updating databases is an asset.
  • Experience in preparing reports and meeting minutes is an asset.
  • Experience with SharePoint is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must satisfy one of the following educational criteria:
  • Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Psychology, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution; or,
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) or graduated within the last 12 months with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Psychology, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.

Remuneration
Depending on experience and location, IOM provides a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. IOM will also provide travel arrangements and will cover visa-related costs.
