Overview

The role supports national and county level efforts on HIV prevention, health systems strengthening, policy advocacy, and sustainable financing within the UNAIDS Kenya Country Office.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provides technical advice on HIV prevention and service integration.
  • Coordinates UNAIDS's engagement with key stakeholders on policy alignment and implementation.
  • Strengthens HIV prevention strategies.
  • Contributes to strategic planning and sustainable financing efforts.
  • Supports community-led and community health strategies.
  • Contributes to the inclusion of HIV in emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Supports the use of digital health and data innovations.
  • Collaborates to support capacity building initiatives.
  • Supports partnership coordination.
  • Supports monitoring, evaluation and learning.
  • Facilitates knowledge management and South-South learning.
Required Experience

3 years of relevant experience in health programme management, HIV/AIDS Programing, Health systems strengthening, SRHR, Health financing, or public policy. Experience working with government health systems, UN agencies, or international NGOs in resource-limited settings is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Health Systems, or related field.
