Overview

The Staff Officer (Quality Assurance) role coordinates the execution and management of the HQ SACT NATO Quality Assurance Programme, ensuring compliance with NATO Education and Individual Training Quality Standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Quality Management principles.
  • Support the management of the NATO Quality Assurance Programme.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Quality Assurance Team of Experts.
  • Manage assigned Quality Assurance projects related to institutional accreditation.
  • Support the conduct of NATO Course Certification.
  • Design, develop, and support the continuous improvement of procedures, templates and tools.
  • Deliver findings of analyses and training strategy to stakeholders.
  • Analyse institutional data and provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders regarding accreditation actions and process improvement.
  • Produce the annual HQ SACT NATO Education and Individual Training Quality Assurance Summary.
  • Provide instructor and facilitator support to the NATO QA Course.
  • Coordinate with external accreditation agencies, industry and academia.
  • Participate in the development and review of doctrines and concepts.
  • Support the building expertise process.
  • Provide support on Education and Training critical capabilities.
  • Support the PTEC recognition process.
  • Perform any other tasks as directed.
Required Experience
  • University Degree in audit, mathematics, statistics, business administration or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
  • 4 years’ experience working in an Education and Individual Training environment.
  • 2 years’ Quality Management Systems in Education and Training, preferably within NATO, but at least a national, perspective with a focus on Quality Assurance.
  • Good knowledge of the current NATO Education and Training Policy and network of institutions supporting NATO Education and Training.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, facilitating and executing events or working groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering briefings in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-national teams.
  • Familiarity with NATO and the NATO Command Structure (NCS) and NATO Force Structure (NFS).
  • Demonstrated experience in the past three to five (3-5) years, in analysing data and drawing conclusions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Tool suite and collaborative software.
Qualifications
