Overview
The Multisectoral Program Manager will lead sectoral planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and sustainable transition for integrated programs in North and West Offices. The role ensures high quality, effective, and efficient response across multiple sectors through strong coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the timely implementation of CP, MHPSS, CM, Education, NFI Shelter, WASH, CVA, and FSL activities, ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
- Monitor, guide, and supervise field teams and partners in project implementation.
- Ensure programs are responsive to communities, partners, and children.
- Lead kick-off processes for new awards, including developing implementation and procurement plans.
- Manage program budgets, including forecasting and revisions.
- Track and report on program progress against programmatic and budgetary targets.
- Prepare timely and high-quality program and donor reports.
- Liaise with Operations/Field Management and Security on movement planning and assessments.
- Promote synergies and coherence across multi-sectoral response activities.
- Work with the partnership team to identify and assess partners, and develop capacity strengthening plans.
- Oversee partner program design and proposal development.
- Review partner progress against budgets and work plans.
- Review partner narrative and financial reporting, as well as MEAL data.
- Contribute to situation/response analysis, sector strategy documents, and program design.
- Oversee technical assessments in coordination with sectoral TAs and external agencies.
- Support Technical Advisors in project and donor proposal development.
- Contribute to contingency and emergency preparedness plans.
- Make input into the development of MEAL tools and support data collection.
- Increase the use of monitoring data for program revision and design.
- Track set indicators and report on impact.
- Assist partners in developing appropriate monitoring and evaluation strategies.
- Provide feedback on TA/MEAL visit reports and implement identified actions.
- Support the roll-out of accountability mechanisms and ensure feedback is considered.
- Identify and increase opportunities for Child Participation.
- Ensure appropriate staffing within the program team and establish performance management for direct reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other teams to strengthen programmatic synergies.
- Ensure external representation and coordination with relevant area level forums and local authorities.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience working with a humanitarian/ development organisation.
- Substantial people and programme management experience.
- Solid experience in grant management, including budget holding and donor reporting.
- Substantial understanding or proven experience of security management issues.
- Experience working with partners and a participatory approach.
Qualifications
- University degree (bachelor level, masters preferred) in a related academic discipline.
- Skills and experience in project/programme implementation, monitoring, review and evaluation preferably from a child rights approach in accordance with the Child Rights Convention and international humanitarian rights standards.
