Overview
Supports the Director of Finance in treasury, accounting, balance sheet accounts, banking, and payroll disbursement, ensuring quality services in line with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review monthly payroll calculation sheets and process payroll.
- Prepare staff salary transfer letters and send them to banks.
- Maintain control accounts and ensure zero balance before hard close.
- Check debtor and creditor accounts and reconcile them.
- Monitor cash balance KPI.
- Prepare monthly financial reports (MFR) and provide explanations.
- Adjust coding errors for posted transactions.
- Update staff on new SOFs and DRCs.
- Ensure smooth and proper closeout of CO books monthly.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Tax authority.
- Answer queries from the RO or Centre related to finances.
- Review and check financial data in Agresso.
- Update monthly exchange rates.
- Act as CO focal point for Agresso.
- Act as CO Finance ER Super User.
- Run and review invalid Timesheet Data Report.
- Review Timesheet Summary Report (TSR01).
- Perform single account reconciliation for CO accounts.
- Process Salary Allocation.
- Generate and review EXP02 report.
- Review charges made to Premise SOF.
- Recode unallowable costs.
- Coordinate with banks regarding authorized signatories.
- Manage and administer all bank accounts.
- Supervise CO banking arrangements.
- Keep authorized signatory list updated.
- Collect cash needs and prepare CO funds/cash requirement.
- Manage CO bank accounts in different currencies.
- Follow up SCI Centre monthly transfers.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and support to finance staff.
- Conduct orientation sessions and training on Agresso and coding.
- Attend internal finance staff meetings.
- Attend Regional, Centre, and Member’s meetings as required.
- Respond to natural disaster or emergency situations.
Required Experience
At least 4+ years of experience within the finance department of a national or international organization including experience with financial management in emergencies.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent, CPA/ACCA preferred.
