Overview
The Information and Outreach Officer will support the development, drafting, editing, and proofreading of communication products, and design visual content to enhance the visibility of the team's work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, drafting, editing and proofreading of communication products, including policy briefs, reports, presentations, newsletters and web content.
- Translate complex technical information on health financing and governance into clear, audience‑appropriate communication materials.
- Design and format reports, policy briefs, fact sheets, presentations and other products in compliance with WHO branding and accessibility standards.
- Develop visual content such as infographics, charts, and basic digital assets to support technical and advocacy products.
- Support digital communication activities, including content for websites, intranet pages and social media channels, in coordination with relevant communications teams.
- Support documentation and visibility of meetings, workshops, and regional or country‑level events, as required.
- Liaise with technical staff to collect inputs, ensure quality control and support timely delivery of communication outputs.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in communications, graphic design, journalism, public health, international relations or other relevant programmes; experience with graphic design is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization.
Qualifications
- Advanced higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) in
- Digital communication;
- Graphic design and document layout;
- Technical and policy communication;
- Health and development communication.; a first-level university degree or equivalent combined with relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
