Overview
Seeking an experienced Hub Engagement Manager for NRC Switzerland on a 50% basis to lead grant planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting, while fostering collaboration across the humanitarian ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to build an engaging and collaborative Hub space.
- Promote the Humanitarian Hub Initiative.
- Engage with NGOs, UN agencies, and other Geneva-based actors.
- Contribute to external fundraising efforts.
- Develop a communication strategy for the Humanitarian Hub and FAGI project.
- Coordinate grant implementation to ensure timely delivery.
- Anticipate implementation challenges and advise management.
- Maintain grant tracking tools and organized documentation.
- Act as a liaison between programme, operations, and finance teams.
- Organise project meetings.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on grant management capacity.
- Coordinate engagement with external actors.
- Monitor project budgets (non-staff costs).
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate.
- Serve as the main contact for day-to-day donor communication.
- Coordinate and quality assure donor reports.
- Support donor briefings, strategic communications, and fundraising efforts.
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with solid experience working in the humanitarian and/or development sector. Well documented professional experience with institutional and/or private donors in grants management, reporting, budgets monitoring and monitoring donor commitments and compliance. Experience in monitoring and evaluation, including developing and reporting against logical frameworks. In-depth understanding of the Geneva-based humanitarian and policy landscape. Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication and outreach approaches. Solid understanding of humanitarian policy, financing, and reform processes. Experience producing high-quality external communications.
