Overview
The Institutional Partnership Adviser is NRC’s expert adviser on institutional donors, responsible for strategic relations and building internal capacity on donor-related issues. This role provides support to all NRC departments and offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as NRC’s lead expert adviser for institutional donors and their relations with NRC, with specific responsibility for development funding from Norad.
- Assist with business development and fundraising from the donor.
- Analyse and share information internally on donor policies and priorities.
- Establish and maintain close relations with key staff in the donor head office.
- Advise NRC colleagues on relations with the donor and relevant funding opportunities and compliance issues.
- Maintain an overview of NRC’s past and present engagement with the donor.
- Undertake “donor mappings” upon request from NRC country offices and departments.
- Be responsible for any prequalification processes to access donor funding.
- Network and advocate for improved financing conditions.
- Manage NRC’s global framework agreements with Norad Humanitarian and Sida, including project management of annual global proposal and reporting processes for Norad and Sida.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of work experience from a humanitarian/development organisation and/or from a donor administration, either at Head Office/capital or field/embassy level. Documented results within fundraising, grants management and finance. Knowledge of Project Cycle Management, especially of the logical framework approach.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably at master’s degree level.
