Overview

Implement the Education CC project portfolio in the North Area Office, participating in strategic programme development, resource mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, and overseeing project implementation to ensure quality programming.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage education project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation).
  • Implement technical interventions and ensure high technical quality of project.
  • Provide regular progress reports.
  • Ensure that projects target most vulnerable beneficiaries.
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Promote the rights of displacement affected populations.
  • Actively promote the rights of displaced persons PSEA standards & principles.
  • Provide technical direction to Education team.
  • Provide guidance on Donor regulations.
  • Develop work plans.
  • Coordinate with MEAL and CC Specialists on monitoring and tracking results.
  • Engage with project stakeholders.
  • Represent the project in various forums.
  • Engage and coordinate with various relevant consortium members, State and County level education officials, external stakeholders.
  • Compile regular project reports and other written outputs.
  • Ensure timely implementation of project activities by NRC and implementing partners.
  • Plan and oversee the strategic capacity building of NRC team and implementing partners staff.
  • Ensure strong community participation.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management in insecure, complex, and volatile environments. Experience in managing multiple projects funded through diverse mechanisms. Strong experience working in a partnership model and establishing and maintaining coordination and communication systems at inter-agency level. Remote management experience – proven ability to manage large projects implemented in different geographic areas. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects funded by different donors, with varying implementation timelines, reporting requirements, compliance frameworks. Knowledge of South Sudan Context.

Qualifications

At least a master’s degree in education or equivalent; Advance degree in Social Sciences or any other relevant field.
