Overview

The Teleradiology Systems Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing IOM's Global Teleradiology systems and organizing technical support, guidance, and training.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IOM Global Teleradiology systems.
  • Lead Global Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical support.
  • Lead technical preparations, Teleradiology users training and guidance, and process requirements for implementation.
  • Supervise Global Teleradiology technical team, assign tasks and monitor deliverables.
  • Support the development of IOM Global Teleradiology and Radiology applications.
  • Contribute to Teleradiology technical implementation of new functionalities or projects.
  • Develop and implement Teleradiology support system.
  • Design and implement Teleradiology systems back up system and data security and protection model.
  • Serve as the focal for the Teleradiology disaster recovery solution.
  • Develop and maintain required Teleradiology systems documentation.
  • Contribute to the Modernization of the Teleradiology systems and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage.
  • Organize and provide technical training for Teleradiology system administrators, medical IT colleagues and other end-users.
  • Assess, plan, and provide recommendation and execute the implementation of new technology solutions including AI integration.
  • Ensure that the evolving Teleradiology business needs are met.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations.
  • Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or, four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in the above fields.
  • Experience in digital radiology systems, different types of Picture archive and communication (PACS) systems, and Teleradiology systems; specifically, experience of PACS installation, configuration and support.
  • Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as SQL, J2EE, .NET ,JBoss, PHP, Apache Web and Tomcat.
  • Configuration management of Enterprise applications is an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing cross functional team is an advantage.
  • Experience in conducting and facilitating trainings, defining requirements, estimating, assessing and planning projects, writing guidelines and designing workflow processes is an advantage.
  • Experience in PACs applications such as DCM4chee ,DCMtk and other Open-Source solutions as well as DICOM Viewers.
Qualifications

Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or, Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an advantage.
