Overview

The Deputy Global Programme Coordinator (FAP) will jointly ensure the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and coordination of the global Family Assistance Programme (FAP). The role focuses on sound protection-centred, rights-based, and results-oriented programme management to promote and expand regular pathways globally.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily administrative, operational, case-management, protection, and budgetary aspects of programmes.
  • Provide operational management, guidance, and technical supervision to the programme's network.
  • Draft and develop project documentation and internal/external communication.
  • Coordinate and manage the elaboration and compilation of programme updates, briefs, and reports.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data collection and analysis mechanisms.
  • Monitor progress against strategic objectives and programme benchmarks.
  • Supervise and provide technical support to programme staff, mentor staff, and deliver trainings.
  • Represent and participate in IOM/FAP meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Undertake international travel for programme coordination and support.
  • Support the senior management team in programme development and management.
Required Experience
  • Five years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree, or seven years with a University degree.
  • Experience in overseeing regional/global projects.
  • Experience in leading strategy development and business transformation.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing project proposals.
  • Experience in supporting the management of multi-million dollar global project budgets.
  • Experience in the usage of office software packages and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis.
  • Experience supervising the development and implementation of administrative control procedures.
  • Experience in programme conceptualisation, development, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Experience in programme development and capacity-building activities.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, and national/international institutions.
  • Experience in organizing consultations, workshops, and seminars with high-level stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Migration Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of Arabic and another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an advantage.
Contract Duration
