Overview
The role supports the implementation, adaptation, and strengthening of the TB component's Big Cities Strategy by analyzing information, identifying gaps, monitoring interventions, and generating evidence for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the quantification, programming, and planning of supply requirements for the Tuberculosis (TB) component.
- Support in the development of technical specifications and documentation for procurement processes.
- Prepare and manage requests for product registration, batch registration, and documentation for the release and dispatch of acquired products.
- Support in managing technical and regulatory processes with the State Agency for Medicines and Health Technologies (AGEMED).
- Support in planning, coordinating, and executing the distribution of medicines, reagents, and medical supplies for the TB component nationwide.
- Carry out and/or coordinate the physical distribution of supplies to subnational entities according to formal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with logistical procedures, as well as adequate transport and storage conditions.
- Guarantee the traceability of logistical processes through adequate documentation (delivery notes, minutes, records).
- Keep the record of consumption, stock, and movements of medicines, reagents, and supplies updated in information systems (SIAL, SALMI, or others).
- Consolidate logistical information at national and subnational levels for analysis.
- Monitor stock levels, product rotation, and expiration dates, generating timely alerts.
- Identify risks of stockouts, overstock, or expirations, proposing corrective measures.
- Support the control and monitoring of Departmental Tuberculosis Programs that receive supplies from the PNEI.
- Support the consolidation of information in official systems.
- Support in generating technical reports for national and international bodies (PNEI, UNDP, Global Fund, among others).
- Articulate actions between the National Program for Infectious Diseases (PNEI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and other relevant actors.
- Prepare technical reports for the procurement of supplies.
- Fulfill other functions inherent to the position within the framework of the project, according to the requirements of the PNEI and UNDP.
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of general work experience in health.
- Three (3) years of specific experience in logistics management of health supplies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related areas. (Essential)
