Overview
The Office of the Special Coordinator on Improving the United Nations Response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OSCSEA) is seeking a motivated and data-savvy intern to support its efforts in strengthening data analysis and visualization capacities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, and organize raw data related to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including trend analysis.
- Develop and improve dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Verint, Excel, and other tools.
- Draft visual storytelling materials, infographics, and presentations.
- Support ongoing projects related to system-wide SEA data coordination and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in analyzing gaps in iReport and in collating recommendations and proposals from users.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions to improve internal data workflows and propose innovation-driven solutions.
- Support analysis, dissemination and presentation of the results of the annual system-wide survey on PSEA.
- Provide general office support services; drafting and/or processing correspondence.
- Undertake other responsibilities, as required.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (1) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (2) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent). Be computer literate in standard software applications.
