Overview
Save the Children is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of the TiKuMA Education Project in Balaka District, Malawi. The role involves strategic leadership and overall management of the project to strengthen education outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the project.
- Ensure quality implementation, effective coordination, and timely delivery of project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with donor and government requirements.
- Work closely with government departments, community structures, development partners, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, capacity strengthening, donor coordination, and team leadership.
- Ensure safeguarding principles are integrated into all project activities.
- In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder may be required to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours accordingly.
Required Experience
- Previous experience as a primary or secondary school teacher.
- At least four (4) years' experience in education programming.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating development projects and managing partnerships.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
