Overview

The role involves implementing requirements of Administrative Arrangements for Nuclear Cooperation Agreements with third countries, handling notifications of nuclear material transfer, and verifying consistency of transfers with accounting declarations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement requirements of Administrative Arrangements for Nuclear Cooperation Agreements with third countries.
  • Handle Advance Notifications of transfer of nuclear material.
  • Verify consistency of nuclear-item transfers notifications with accounting declarations of EU nuclear operators.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual reporting and statistics.
  • Participate in meetings and exchanges with operators, Member States, and third countries.
  • Collaborate with other Euratom services.
  • Complete inspector training.
Required Experience

Demonstrated analytical and organisation skills. Technical or scientific background and/or experience in a technical, scientific or regulated domain. Knowledge of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle and/or accountancy principles is an asset.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
Other Details
Languages Required
A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties. A good knowledge of English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French would be an asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The European Commission applies a policy of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
