Overview
Supports the implementation of FAO emergency, food security and livelihood interventions at field level, focusing on effective delivery, monitoring, and coordination of project activities in Sudanese States.
Key Responsibilities
- Support gender assessment, baseline survey and other related assessments and studies.
- Lead the selection process of implementing partners.
- Ensure timely delivery of project inputs to IPs.
- Lead the preparation and implementation of project monitoring plans and submit regular reports.
- Lead the implementation of project monitoring tools.
- Liaise with other organizations for experience exchange and to avoid overlap.
- Lead preparation of comprehensive evidence-based monitoring reports for completed LoAs.
- Co-lead the FSL sector at state level and share relevant information.
- Participate in inter-agency needs assessments and/or food security and livelihoods assessments.
- Collect, analyze and update relevant information about key issues related to agriculture, horticulture, livestock, environment, NRM, land and water, markets and food security in White Nile State.
- Perform any other work/related tasks as requested.
Required Experience
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in field-level project implementation, monitoring, coordination, food security and livelihoods, agriculture, livestock or related development or humanitarian activities.
Qualifications
University degree in Agriculture, Livestock, Natural Resource Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field.
