Overview

Recruit a Graphic Illustrator to develop creative concepts and visual themes, and design graphic illustrations for training materials, messages, and advisories.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing text and translating related concepts into illustrations; using colours, graphics and effects to better feature/visualize concepts; and, where needed, combining hand-drawn and painted artworks with computer and digital techniques for production development
  • Perform 2 rounds of corrections following OCC/PWS and divisional quality checks; rounds of corrections are to be increased should the incumbent overlook corrections
  • Delivering files in high- and low-resolution (for print and web dissemination), as well as the complete design packages (source files)
  • Support the consultant and project teams on the development and finalization of DRR and AA training manual with relevant graphic illustrations
  • Support the consultant and project team on the development and finalization of compendium of technologies on DRR and AA with relevant graphic illustrations
Required Experience

Two years of experience in fine arts, graphic design or related field.

Qualifications

University degree in fine arts, graphic design or related field or relevant technical training/qualification

Other Details
Languages Required
Working knowledge of English and Tetun, both written and spoken.
Languages Preferred
Familiarity with agriculture, climate change, disaster risk reduction, anticipatory action, early warning systems or community awareness materials would be an advantage.
Contract Duration
5 months (15 days to be worked)
