Overview

Provide high-level technical assistance and strategic support to advance UNICEF’s global agenda on learning assessment, focusing on strengthening national learning assessment systems and their use to improve learning outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to UNICEF Country and Regional Offices, national governments and partners, to develop, implement, and use learning assessments.
  • Inform sector policy, planning and financing, school monitoring and classroom instruction to improve learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to global standard-setting, the development of methodologies, and partnerships.
  • Promote equity-driven, inclusive, and actionable learning assessments that support system-wide education reform, equitable resource allocation and education programming in emergency settings.
Required Experience

At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in education, learning assessment, education monitoring, labor market monitoring, learning assessment, workforce development or other related fields is required. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Education, Statistics, Economics, Social Science, Psychometrics, Educational measurement, Social Sciences, Learning Measurement or other related fields.
