Overview

Provide technical and program management expertise to the Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) technical team to scale up medical evacuation from Gaza to Jordan and support humanitarian relief efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice on MEDEVAC & Repatriation, including criteria setting and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Act as the key focal point for MEDEVAC action and associated project activities.
  • Ensure programmatic planning, coordination, and timely delivery of tasks by subcontractors.
  • Take management responsibility for the delivery of action by contractors responsible for MEDEVAC.
  • Lead on bringing project work plan activities together with the medical evacuation team and operations support.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of programmatic, technical/medical achievements and progress indicators.
  • Analyze and synthesize incoming information and provide regular updates.
  • Serve as liaison on MEDEVAC, maintaining relationships with MoH, Governmental Authorities, NGOs, and Receiving/Transiting Member States.
  • Ensure close coordination and open communication between all stakeholders involved in MEDEVAC operational activities.
  • Implement technical and program recommendations for corrective action.
  • Oversee quality control of subcontractors and funding-related agreements.
  • Participate in the development or update of protocols, standard operational procedures, and guidelines for MEDEVAC and repatriation operations.
  • Perform any other technical, operational, or incident-specific related duties within the WHE portfolio.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of work experience with international exposure relevant to the position in health sector coordination, with tracked experience in critical patient care and transfers, and MEDEVAC.

Qualifications

First University degree in Medicine.

Remuneration
Annual base salary starting at USD 70,212 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 2,188 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
