Overview
The purpose of the position is to support the implementation, analysis and monitoring of public health programmes and activities, providing technical input to WHO teams and counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and research on public health topics to support the development of public health programmes and activities.
- Contribute to the drafting of public health guidelines and provide input into plans of action for public health policies and health systems.
- Support monitoring of workplans and budgets, including resource mobilization and follow-up on implementation of planned activities.
- Analyze information on best practices in Public Health and health systems and report finding to Responsible Officer.
- Participates in capacity building in the area of Public health systems and the management and financing of the systems.
- Participate in community outreach activities concerning the extension of health-care networks.
- Contribute to the drafting of public health reports and acts as a focal point to Public Health topics in the area of work.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least two years of professional, internship, research, or volunteer experience in public health activities. Experience conducting analysis and research on public health topics.
Qualifications
A first university degree in medicine, public health, or a health-related field from a recognized university.
