Overview
Support the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of community-based reintegration interventions and Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of community-based reintegration activities.
- Support the organization of community assessments, market analyses, value chain assessments and stakeholder consultations.
- Support the development and implementation of community-based reintegration activities.
- Support the day-to-day implementation of the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) component.
- Assist with engagement with private sector actors.
- Contribute to the preparation and update of EDF operational plans.
- Provide routine coordination support to field focal points, implementing partners and service providers.
- Maintain regular communication with relevant IOM programme units, government counterparts and partners.
- Assist with collaboration with federal, regional and local government authorities.
- Monitor the work of implementing partners and service providers.
- Support the planning, organization and delivery of capacity-building activities.
- Collect, verify and consolidate monitoring data, beneficiary feedback and lessons learned.
- Undertake regular field monitoring visits.
- Prepare inputs for donor reports, briefing notes, concept notes, presentations, success stories and technical documentation.
- Contribute to project development and resource mobilization efforts.
- Participate in relevant coordination mechanisms, technical working groups, government consultations and partner meetings.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a Master's degree.
- Experience in supporting the implementation of community-based reintegration projects, including grants or enterprise development funds.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Experience working with implementing partners, NGOs and community-based organizations.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience working with financial institutions, chambers of commerce, private sector actors and business development service providers.
- Experience conducting market assessments, value chain analyses and livelihoods assessments.
- Experience implementing reintegration projects and/or similar projects at the global or regional level with a UN agency, or an international organization is an asset.
- Experience supporting the delivering of training programmes, especially on the topic of reintegration, for both an internal and external audiences.
- Experience in monitoring employment creation, enterprise growth, livelihoods and income-generation outcomes.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in the field of migration issues, including operational and field experience, project development, and management and report writing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
- Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
