Overview
Provide operational and administrative support to Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration case processing at the IOM Country Office in Finland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration movements.
- Process AVRR cases, including registration, follow-up, and preparing travel arrangements and reintegration support payments.
- Assist in the coordination and arrangement of international travel and domestic transportation.
- Inform reception centres, stakeholders, and IOM missions of movements.
- Respond to written and oral enquiries from authorities and clients regarding voluntary return and reintegration.
- Provide general counselling on AVRR services.
- Participate in outreach activities and provide briefings.
- Provide departure assistance at Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
- Assist returnees in obtaining required travel and other necessary documents.
- Perform administrative tasks related to movement assistance, including file maintenance and data collection.
- Carry out any needed administrative tasks related to movement assistance.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s Degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in working in an intercultural setting is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in fields relating to AVRR (e.g. social work, political/social science, migration issues) or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
