Overview

Support the implementation of field data collection activities for the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) under the supervision of IOM's Senior Project Associate and Field Coordinator.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative interviews in the field with individuals from both host and migrant communities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, and data protection principles.
  • Maintain regular communication with IOM team, reporting daily progress and flagging any issues, challenges, or incomplete interviews.
  • Carry out interviews in a respectful, sensitive, and culturally appropriate manner.
  • Accurately utilize designated mobile data collection tools and platforms in accordance with project guidelines.
  • Submit daily updates to the IOM team, including progress, challenges encountered, and key observations from the field.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Required Experience

No experience required. Previous experience in field data collection, surveys or assessments is desired. Prior experience working with migrants, refugees, or displaced populations is a strong advantage. Experience using digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) is desirable.
