Overview

Internship opportunity to assist an Advisor in preparing files related to UNESCO's fields of competency and gain knowledge of the organization's working environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Advisor in preparing notes and opinions on administrative, political, and communications issues
  • Help prepare elements for Director-General's interventions (speeches, talking points, messages, editorials, articles, forewords)
  • Carry out documentary research for speeches or official visits
  • Revise correspondence for the Director-General
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in 3rd year or final year of Bachelor's degree; OR currently enrolled in second university degree (Master's or PhD) or equivalent; OR finished Bachelor's, Master's or PhD within the last 12 months
  • Applicants in technical/vocational assignments must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within 12 months) from a specialized technical/vocational institution
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software
Other Details
Languages Required
Excellent command, written and spoken, of English or French
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other language (English or French) is an asset

Remuneration
UNESCO does not remunerate interns. There is no compensation, financial or otherwise for internship assignments• Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month plus an additional 1 working day per complete month• Provided with limited workplace insurance coverage
